Three students of the Department of International Relations and European Studies at International Burch University attended and actively participated in a public forum about potential constitutional changes to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The public forum, entitled “The Constitution of B&H – what changed are needed” was organized by the Democratic Youth Movement (bos. Demokratski omladinski pokret, DOP) through the legal counseling center “Paragraf”, in the building of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Tajra Hadžić, Nejra Lilić, and Festim Pervizaj, all first year students of the Department of International Relations and European Studies, attended.
The primary goals of the public forum were to present constitutional changes prepared by experts in the legal counseling center “Paragraf” and stimulate public discussion on the proposal.
Also in attendance was Mr. Saša Magazinović, a Representative in the House of Representative of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who warmly welcomed the initiative of youth groups wishing to improve our country and made himself available to the attendees for questions and comments.
“I was glad to see that young people are finally being included in the discussion about the foundations of our country – the Constitution,” stated Nejra Lilić, a participant in the public forum and a first year student.
