Burch Diplomacy Club was represented by Lejla Dautbašić, Vana Ćurin, Mirza Tokić and Amar Ljubijankić, four of the students from Department of International Relations and European Studies, on a special event organised by International Burch University, Club Day, which took place on October 29, 2019.
Club Day was organized with the aim to promote student clubs, increase student club membership and give students a chance to even found new ones, as a part of entrepreneurship skills development. The goal of the event was to activate and engage young people, as well as to give them an opportunity to turn their passion into reality.
Burch Diplomacy Club took part in this event with a goal to attract new members and promote the club and events organized by it, as well as to represent the club in the best light. On this mission, four students of the Department of International Relations and European Studies, Lejla Dautbašić and Tokić, Ćurin and Ljubijankić, represented Burch Diplomacy Club.
Tokić as president and Dautbašić as vice-president of Diplomacy Club, along with two first year students, Ćurin and Ljubijankić, represented Burch Diplomacy Club together. Other members of Diplomacy Club were also present throughout the whole event, supporting their colleagues and inviting other students to enroll.
Burch Diplomacy Club is one of the most active clubs at University, currently with more than 50 members. Members engage in political events, organize debates and simulations in order to develop new skills and gain more knowledge. Events created by Burch Diplomacy Club also involve guest lectures by different diplomats, politicians, where students can directly interact with different figures in politics.
To become a member of Burch Diplomacy Club, student may apply via Facebook page, or contact president or vice-president, to engage them in future events. Students of the Department of International Relations and European Studies are usually main initiators of the Burch Diplomacy Club activities, but students of other departments can freely join and express their ideas.
Department of International Relations and European Studies is proud to have such students who constantly work in presenting Burch Diplomacy Club, and with 5 new members - students from other departments, the mission of the Diplomacy Club was fulfilled. Burch Diplomacy Club is one of the best representatives of the Department of International Relations and European Studies and its students, which activates students and gives them a chance to show their knowledge in another way.
