Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in Dr.in h. c. Irena Zavrl, Ph.D.
Irena Zavrl holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Intercultural Communication from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and is currently Head of Scientific Committee of doctoral studies and Head of Master´s Degree Program in European Studies and at the same time professor of intercultural communication at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, Eisenstadt, Austria. Dr. Zavrl has published extensively in a wide variety of scientific journals and proceedings, is author of several textbooks and contributes regularly to international conferences. Her research interests focus on cross-cultural communication, language and cultural science.
Mag. Dr. Martin Wagner, LL.M. MBA
Martin Wagner has studied Law at the University of Vienna and London School of Economics. He holds a Master in Business Administration of the Danube University Krems, a Master in European and International Business Law and a Doctor of Laws of the University of Vienna. During his studies, he has focused his research on private procurements from different business law perspectives, such as private law, commercial law, procedural law and public procurement law. He works for a law firm in Vienna, which is highly recommended by international rankings and which is active in all areas of business law. Besides his regular occupation, he teaches law at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland, at the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna and at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
Mag. Mag. Dr. Arnold H. Kammel, M.A.
Arnold Kammel studied Law and Political Science in Graz, Vienna and Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) and holds a Doctor of Law degree of the University of Graz. He obtained a Master of Arts in Business from the University of Applied Sciences in Eisenstadt. In 2004 Arnold Kammel became a research fellow at the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES). From 2007-2014, Arnold Kammel served as the Secretary General and from 2015-2018 as the Director of the AIES. He currently serves in the Cabinet of the Federal Minister for the EU, Arts, Culture and Media in the Austrian Federal Chancellery. He teaches and publishes regularly on the topic of European integration (focusing on EU foreign, security and defence policy) as well as EU Governance.
Dr. Dean Učkar
He completed his PhD in 2006 titled, “The impact of financial structure and dividend policy on market value of companies in the Republic of Croatia.” He is Associate Professor and serves as Head of Department of the Finance Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” in Pula. In his scientific and teaching work, he focuses on finance, specifically corporate finance, financial markets, and monetary policy. He has published about thirty scientific papers in major international publications.
Dr. Škare Marinko
He is full Professor in the Economics Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” in Pula. He received his M. A. and Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zagreb, Graduate School of Business and Economics. Currently serves as Vice Rector for Science/Art and cooperation at Juraj Dobrila University of Pula University of Pula. He has published three books and 140 articles in internationally recognized journals, 40 of which are published in ISI Journals. His areas of academic interest are poverty, growth, golden triangle, chaos economics, economic philosophy, general economics, economic history, welfare, CSR, and microfinance.
Dr. Robert Zenzerović
He received his PhD in 2008 titled, “Going concern estimation model for business entities in Republic of Croatia,” from Juraj Dobrila University in Pula. He teaches on various facets of accounting theory and business analysis and serves as Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Tourism “Dr. Mijo Mirković” in Pula. He has published two books and over thirty expert and academic articles.
Dr. Dean Sinković
He is an Assistant Professor of Economics, and serves as Vice Dean for Research and International Relations since 2015. He is also the editor of the Ekonomska istražiivanja journal and directs the FET Career Center. He obtained his PhD from Juraj Dobrila University of Pula in 2011. He has authored and co-authored numerous feasibility and impact studies for both private and public sectors. He has held visiting lectures, workshops, and keynote lectures in more than 30 universities and institutions in EU, South America, and Asia.
